Maja Rose y Tess Lloyd se conocieron en 1999 cuando estudiaban diseño industrial, después de graduadas comenzaron a idear sus creaciones hechas a mano.

Polli tiene grandes intereses en diseño sustentable crafts y moda. Está inspirada por los japoneses y daneses en el tipo de materiales y técnicas que utiliza en sus productos.
